In a world constantly changing, aëdle aims at redifining the nomadic audio by manufacturing high quality products made with durable materials. 2011 was a landmark for the company with the VK-1 project which demonstrated it was possible to hand-assemble a technical product in France with the help of highly-skilled craftsmen.

With all the know-how we developed for this first product, aëdle started its metamorphosis evolving from a stratup to a young audio company. This evolution is marked with the most versatile product we have ever made : the ODS-1 earphones.

Rutherford Audio Inc. proudly represents aedle in North America.

The VK-1

With its speakers made with titanium and neodymium, the VK-1 delivers a perfectly balanced sound for a precise acoustic experience. We carefully worked on the acoustic signature by empowering the bass without compromising the clarity of the mediums and the purity of the trebles.

The VK-1 comes in classic(on the right), carbon and legacy.

The Future

The future of Aedle is in our up and coming product the ODS-1 Headphones. The ODS-1 earphones are casted from an alloy of aluminium and zinc, this technique allows a superb shape for a very compact lightweight and durable product.

The ODS-1's are moulded under high pressure and everything is fully assembled in Brittany.

HiFi Choice Aedle VK-1 Review

The two main ingredients of the VK-1 are leather and aluminium, but – adopting my best Marks and Spencer’s voice – this is not just any old aluminium and leather. The T6066 billet is developed for the aviation industry, while the leather is sourced from Argentinian sheep and is completely free of nicks and imperfections. Combined with the minimalist, but striking industrial design, the result is a pair of headphones that more than anything else at the price feels bespoke.

‘If you don’t mind me saying’ said the lady standing behind me at the Sainsburys checkout ‘that is a fantastic looking pair of headphones.’ I didn’t mind her saying it at all. Not only was it the second time it had happened that day - the first had been earlier in the pub..

Headphonia Aedle VK-1 Review

The fashionable looks of the Aedle VK-1 have a little discriminating effect in that it gives an “I’m all about look with sound second” kind of a statement. Surprisingly, the sound captivated me so much that the French lifestyle headphone has become my everyday closed-back portable.

CNET Aedle VK-1 Review

As soon as I spotted the Aedle VK-1 headphones on the Web, I just had to check them out. That was early last year; e-mails were exchanged, and there were delays along the way, but now that I have them I'm happy to report they sound as good as they look.
